Auslan is my first language. English is my additional language, therefore the English content of this email may be in Deaf English (and not follow the standard English grammar).
Hadley is adapt at unlocking the door leading to a deeper understanding of Auslan. I highly recommend their tutoring for anyone wanting to improve their Auslan skills and gain further insights into Deaf culture. I found the concept of translating an Auslan video into English in a way that reflects the style of the signer particularly helpful.
Ben- Diploma of Auslan
I recently attended Hadley's Auslan Summer School, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The sessions were designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge in Auslan, covering basic skills to communicate with Deaf individuals on a variety of topics, up to translations and reflections on ethics. The learning environment was easy, fun
I recently attended Hadley's Auslan Summer School, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The sessions were designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge in Auslan, covering basic skills to communicate with Deaf individuals on a variety of topics, up to translations and reflections on ethics. The learning environment was easy, fun, and informal, which made the experience enjoyable and effective. Additionally, the program was inclusive, catering to adults aspiring to work as Auslan interpreters, parents of Deaf and hard of hearing children, friends, families, and colleagues of Deaf and hard of hearing people, as well as professionals who want to communicate directly with the Deaf and hard of hearing community. I highly recommend Hadley's classes to anyone looking to build and refine their foundations in Auslan.
Anonymous, Diploma level
I've done a few courses with Hadley now as I'm doing the Diploma of Auslan and wanted more practice than I get in my TAFE classes. I have loved them, especially the face to face classes - the activities we do are so varied and interesting! I've learned a lot about Auslan plus I like how much Hadley shares about Deaf culture. She is an awesome and patient teacher.

Cassie, deaf, Cert III
Auslan hiking with Hadley was awesome. It was all perfect for me and the other student, Hadley planned it all to suit our needs and what we hoped to get out of it. It was really enjoyable, safe, interesting and the best way to keep improving my Auslan.

I loved my Auslan hike. The 2 hour walk through Darebin Parklands was so lovely, seeing the different wildlife and trees. It was so relaxed and calm. Its the perfect way to brush up and polish my signing - asking for clarification from Hadley is such a natural teacher and always explains and demonstrates signs so clearly. Can't wait to go again.
