Deaf student come home from school

6-8pm: all families at home during dinner table conversation.
Suitable for Deaf kids above 10+
OR
Working with D/deaf child 0 to 5 before start school (time can be flexible)
OR
Working with Deaf kid who doing homeschool.
Note: I am not a Support Worker, I only show families or Deaf child how to blend Auslan into everyday life

I support Deaf child and families to have access to Auslan (Australian Sign Language) to make sure Deaf children can communicate with family and not feel left out.
Showing new signs and some phrases. My aim is no more dinner table syndrome.
2 hours from 3-5pm and can end the service earlier as 4:30 if deaf child feel overwhelm or tired from school with education and need rest.
2 hours from 6-8pm and can end the service earlier as 7:30pm if deaf child need go to bed and focus on routine.
Our language courses use a communicative approach, focusing on practical language skills for real-life situations.
3-5pm will focus on: giving language of new signs with conversation you can communicate with Deaf child/teen before they come home from school.
6-8pm will focus on: dinner table conversation with all families on table, will be voice off as much as possible and access to all vocabs and how school, what has been happening, adults errands what has been happening.
